Shefali Shah recently spoke in an interview where she said that talent alone is not enough to succeed in the film industry.
She said that she had no mentor to guide her early in her career and now she feels she should not have taken up some roles that limited her chances.
With over 30 years in the industry Shefali has earned praise for her strong and unconventional performances. She is currently active in films and web series and was last seen in Delhi Crime 3 as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi.
Shefali said her career began without any clear planning and depended a lot on luck. She revealed that she should not have played a mother’s role in Waqt, as it typecast her, even though she was advised against it.
She also spoke about choosing marriage and motherhood at 28, saying it was a personal decision she does not regret, as she wanted to spend time raising her children.
